Second Time Arounders Marching Band Newsletter The Macy's Experience May 15th, 2008 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Member, Things are starting to finalized for our Macy's Experience. We will be communicating more often so watch your emails and the website for new information. Please allow us to cover a few points of a general nature. 1. We have had a number of people asked about the Thanksgiving Dinner. It is not included in the full package. You must select this item to be added to your profile. 2. Regarding our transportation options to select. The "Ground Transportation" included in your package is for full band transportation. This includes transportation to and from the airport as well as to and from our performance events. The "NYC Transfer" option available from Music Festivals is for your transportation to and from New York City. This package is $59 per person and includes unlimited use for three days (Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.) In additional public transportation is available for approximately $22 per day, one time round trip, or via cab for approximately $65 one way, one time, or via limo for approximately $95 one way, one time. As you can see the NYC Transfer is a cost effective alternative. Box 15062; St. Petersburg, FL33733, or drop a check off at Bringe Music Center, 2129 1st. Ave. N. in St. Petersburg. Please check your profile on the band website for your account balance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Band Member Macy's Profiles will be locked on June 1 As of June 1, you will no longer be able to make changes or deletions to your Macy's profiles. For instance, you may not change sections, or remove Thanksgiving Dinners or Spirit Cruises. You can, however, make ADDITIONS to your selected options. If you plan to have breakfast at the hotel, that selection must be made by August 15. Remember, Thanksgiving Dinner is NOT included in ANY package and must be selected as an option. Contact the communications box through the band website if you need help. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Good News about New York Shows Although some sections are sold out, there are still some tickets available for most of the Broadway Shows, etc. through Music Festivals! The $59 Unlimited Shuttle Service between the hotel and NYC is also still available. You must be fitted for your uniform or have your measurement information to Angie Brown no later than June 13th. The uniforms are manufactured to order and have a long lead time that make it impossible to get uniforms in time for Macy's if we do not order by this date. So if you are a band member and planning to perform in the Macy's events you must be fitted by this date. After this date, anyone registered as a performing member will have their registration changed to Tag-Along and will not be able to march with the band in New York City. For individuals that have not been fitted for the New York Uniform, there will be a fitting on June 7th at Angie's 444 12th Ave. N. and also at the June 13th Party at the Gulfport Casino. If you know of friends or family members in or out of town that are marching in the National Flag Pageant that have not been fitted they must contact her. Again, if you do not have a New York uniform you will not march.
