Our 2016 Music!

Hey, Rounders!

The time is now....NEW SEASON'S MUSIC READY FOR PRINTING!

When the last notes and routines faded away into oblivion from this past season that ended in April, the machinery of people that keeps the Rounders cranking  immediately began planning our 34th year.    The choice of music, the events and performances, the rehearsal schedule, the Seattle  and Alaska trip, etc., all became major topics of conversation and planning by your creative staff, board of directors and leadership to meet the deadlines of the new season.  Another exciting season is about to begin!

The 34th season officially begins in October with YOUR MUSIC PARTS AND AUDIO of all the concert music now on the website and available to print right off the computer.  So, let's get stated... members simply login and print your part.  Better yet,   practice with the audio and get ready for the first rehearsal in January.

Seattle, the Rounders are on our way!

Rounders Frequently Asked Questions -- select the "+" and links below --

When does the next performance season start for the Rounders?

The first of five full rehearsals begin in the first quarter of 2016, however, percussion and many Auxiliary groups begin before that date. See our calendar for details.

What is the big trip for 2016?

Join us next Summer in the beautiful Pacific Northwest for Seafair 2016 and the Alaska Airlines Torchlight Parade. Seafair is the premier Summer event in Seattle, a city known for its celebrations and events, and includes one of the largest parades West of the Mississippi.

What was another fun trip?

For our major trip for 2014, the Rounders marched in the Washington DC Cherry Blossom Festival Parade and performed a patriotic concert on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial, at the peak weekend of the cherry blossoms to thouasnds of park visitors around the lake.

Are there auditions for new members?

Although there are not auditions for musicians, Auxiliary positions are filled through an audition process at the beginning of the season. See Auxiliary Minimum Requirements document. All rehearsals are mandatory for both groups.

Is there a required uniform for musicians or auxiliaries?

Both musicians and auxiliary have a required uniform that is a cost absorbed by each member. See musician uniform details here. Auxiliary uniforms are ordered at the beginning of the season, after auditions.

What has been the mantra of the group?

Our Mantra: We are dedicated to those who have marched in a high school, college or military marching band....and have dreamed of doing it one more time.

What age is the target for this group?

Participation in the Rounders starts at age 18. We have Rounders that enjoy performing into their 80s.
